Re: Image out of position in FSX

This is a common problem and since you use FSX heights why not slide you background image just a little? In your sim, slew your aircraft to a few landmarks and in the matching location in SBX, place objects such as cones. Slide your image to best fit and be careful not to bump it when you open prope...

Windows Registry - sudden fault

Hi Folks, SBX is putting up a screen that says "The Windows Registry indicates that FSX is in the folder: C:\Documents and Settings...... instead of where it really is. I point to the correct location but the fault is not fixed and it is also causing other programmes such as FTX central to lock the ...

Re: Tile Server Plug-Ins for SBuilderX

Hi jgwynne87, when you have unzipped it, paste the driver and the code folder in the tiles folder of SBX.

Re: Tile Server Plug-Ins for SBuilderX

Is there a tileserver for nearmap (www.nearmap.com)? If not, I'm considering pasting over another with GIMP and I would love an easier way.

Louis - We don't thank you enough!

As a modeller since 2002, I have noticed that software designers and support teams do not get enough thanks for all of the hard work they put in to help others. In fact, some of the negative criticism has disheartened good people and I cite Mike Stone and the Late Ian Thatcher. I would like to take ...

Re: DIfferences

Trust me, stick around and get the hang of it and you won't regret it. I use a combination of SBX and airport design editor with my own models and textures and I'm happy to coach you. These are versions of the same airfields so you can compare. FS9 - www.alanblencowe.com/FSX/FS9_airfields.htm FSX - ...

Re: Making Holes?

I have a kit here with a complete island. It was made with the earlier version of SBX so you need to edit the properties so it saves to your new work folder.

Re: Reversing landclass seasons in southern hemisphere

Thanks Luis, I tried deleting and reinstalling FSX but I will now try isolating all addon scenery. I believe a payware programme called FTX has installed some seasons files and I have switched off the addon scenery but I may have to isolate it further. My next step is to search for files with season...

Re: Problems when adding maps from disk.

I have found something similar if you are pointing to one of the season files and have a typo or you are pointing to the wrong folder. Try checking the spelling.

Reversing landclass seasons in southern hemisphere

Hi folks, I needed to cover the edges of a small country town (YKEB Kellerberrin, Western Australia) to make it smaller so I added LC_cool_irrigated_cropland to cover it. This problem is that it is the same landclass as the background but I'm in the southern hemisphere and the seasons are reversed. ...

In SBX - File \ Add Map \ from disk then then calibrate the map over a larger background and edit the properties from "Map" to "Photo".

Sounds like you could try a flattening polygon and edit the point heights to control your slope.

Re: Blank tiles with Google Server

Try using virtual earth down to layer 12 to create your background then take a screenshot from real Google Earth, clean it up then import the bmp as a map and edit the title from "map" to "photo". You then have to use your pointer to get the correct latitude and longitude and manually edit the coord...

Sliding photo backgrounds

I guess everyone knows to be careful when selecting the edge of a background photo that you don't slide the image. That used to catch me out. Is there any way to lock the image (or any objects for that matter) so they don't shift around?

Re: Thumbnails I've created not showing

Thanks for that, I've installed the new version. I put the thumbnails in the new thumbnails folder and they moved to a backup folder. I then created a subfolder in images with the same name as the directory I created in Library Object Manager and dragged the thumbnails into that. They now work. It i...
