I don't know if this applies to your situation or not, but I think there is confusion about the full version of 2.05 and 2.05 rev 1 found in the download sb205rev01.zip. At the top of Luis's sticky on 2.05 updates, it talks about having a complete running install of 2.05 before any revisions ...

I'm unsure fom your description if you had actually installed the full v2.05 before installing v2.05 revs 1, 5 and 6. This is found at:
http://www.ptsim.com/downloads/sb205.zip
I had to reinstall not too long ago.

Yes there is typically some manual massaging required. I had a quick look at the NOAA data and I see they duplicate the shoreline and what I assume are hi-water mark vectors; one is black, the other blue. Depending on the software you are using to edit your data you may be able to sort by color. Unf...

Hi; If you are using an external source of vector data for LWMs as opposed to drawing on top of photo underlays, the data may not be 'clean'. This includes duplicated line segments and line segments that cross over themselves which confuse the compiler. Fully filled LOD 8 cells with strange new feat...

Hi; In Global Mapper when exporting with the bil/bip/bsq option, choose the 'Elevation - 2 bytes per sample' format. Once completed rename the file created so the suffix is .bsq. The rows and columns data are in the header file as before. You can obtain the corner data for calibration in Sbuilder fr...

API macro directory
Hi Luis; Just a couple of small items. When I set my API macro directory in preferences I can see and select those objects in the objects menu. However when I compile I get a Scasm error: Error in line 5 -> macro( D:\Program Files\FS Scenery Creator\Macros\JETTY.API 37.93 -> Macro "D:\Program" not f...

Hi Luis;
The USGS NED data set is available in 4 formats; .bil, geotiff, GridFloat, and ArcGrid and downloadable at:
http://seamless.usgs.gov/
Yes I think 1 arc-sec is generally the most practical higher-quality resolution. 1.2m photo resolution would be great!

I have not found a way to translate NED data as .bsq for Sbuilder. NED is probably the best data for the US, with resolutions of 1/3 arc-sec (10m) often available. A freeware program like 3DEM will convert either .bil or geotiff .tif to USGS DEM .dem. You can download either of these formats but the...

Hi Dick; I haven't used .bil but I know you can get that format for the NED 1 arc-sec data. If you are using the Seamless Data Dist. System select the area you want to download. The next window is the request summary page. At the top of the page select 'Modify data request' and then change fron the ...

Luis will know better about your version change but it appears you lost necessary files in the upgrade such as rgn40.txt and rgn80.txt. I think the upgrade sbxxx needs to be installed in your existing SBuilder folder. As to the photo error it appears you are using relatively small area photos (one L...

Hi Lurch; The grid cell you click on must be completely filled by a portion of your photo. This eliminates visible borders. The VTP layer value will determine where the photo lies in relation to VTP features such as roads, shorelines, etc. You would increase the layer value if you wanted the photo t...

I think the "Fill" option would work nicely. As you say you'd want to have a separate project without other maps which is what I typically do. I can see advantages in being able to choose either VTP or Resampler photos if gaps can exist in the VTP photos. I hadn't actually noticed the gaps before an...
