Re: Help needed with google_api3_water

Without changing the center of your image , can you not just change the tile server between grabbing the photo-image and then the water image, ensuring that you have exactly the same magnification or zoom level set? Does this not get you two images with the same co-ordinates? You can save both, one...

Re: Help needed with google_api3_water

Water Masks should use suffix _W. Blend Masks use suffix _B. You can add both the satellite image and a water image into the project for saving and editing in your chosen image editor to make the .tif mask files. Just don't compile the water image Map#.

Just want to thank you for keeping these tile servers updated. It's much appreciated. :D

Re: what am I missing or doing wrong ?

More precisely... When you're in the Settings - Scenery Library window in FSX (running under Win 7), the procedure is: 1. Press A dd Area 2. Using the mouse in the large folder list panel, navigate to the folder that contains the Scenery folder you loaded your bgl files into, select it with the mous...

...Without this, that is, getting the position on scenery, it has no usefulness for serious developers... I think your post is a little bit "drastic". SBX is a seriously useful and powerful tool for rapid development of very decent scenery add-ons. I hardly ever use SBX connected to FSX or P3D. Whe...

Re: Dovetail Games

...Flight Simulator will be based on FSX technology. It will be a 64-bit, DirectX11 game based on the FSX engine.. I would not be surprised if it is nearly identical to FSX. With some luck, the nature of the scenery compilation tools will be compatible with SBuilderX... Thanks for this information,...

Re: Retaining FSX SDK Paths

I'm coming across this issue on Windows 10 and this may (or may not!) be part of the problem. As you know, 10 updates regularly. Problems with compiling and also the "disappearing" path entries began unexpectedly, possibly after an overnight update. If I point SBX 313 SBX to P3D v3 SDK compilers, it...

Re: Retaining FSX SDK Paths

Luis It regenerates the copy but re-entering new paths has no affect on any entries in the file. Which entries in particular should be changed? If necessary I could try to change them or add them manually. Should they be in the [Main] or [RecentDirs] sections, for example? The only path entries that...

Retaining FSX SDK Paths

Anyone know how I can get the program to persist the SDK tool paths in Edit>FSX Settings...? Right now 314 and 313 "lose the settings" and return to Default values between any changes (e.g. compiling) and every time the program is launched. Iv'e looked for entries in ini file etc. but can't see wher...

Re: Can't open SbuilderX 314 forum

Suggestion might be to use another method for determining accurate positioning and enter locations directly in the lat/long parameters of your SBX "objects". You could use something like Crosshairs_Plus, possibly, or even use co-ordinates from the top-left Shift-Z displayed text. I guess this depend...

Re: Can't open SbuilderX 314 forum

I imagine it's looking for an FSX.exe file. Didn't P3D originally have a file of that name in its root folder? I don't have my P3D machine here right now but they may have changed it to another name - maybe P3D.exe? If so, probably the only way to do it is to have a "dummy" FSX.exe. The problem I ca...

Re: Can't open SbuilderX 314 forum

You don't have to fool around with the registry. When SBX is running, you can enter the path of your flight sim in the Edit>FSX Preferences menu option. It only makes changes to the ini file. 'm not sure why you are using the installer. You could just download the "porrtable" version which is a zp c...
