Re: Using geotiffs for background images

Many thanks for the reply, Luis. I must have been thrown off by the dialog saying that my geotiff would need to be calibrated once I added it. I'll try just adding it and see what happens.

Re: Using geotiffs for background images

All good points, Dick. However, as you figured, my images are all in the correct projection for FSX already. I tried making a small one, just barely covering the grounds of a small airport, and it crashed as well. If that's too large, then the feature is fairly useless. I have a feeling it's somethi...

Using geotiffs for background images

Here's a problem I keep running into that I'd love to find a solution for: I use geotiff images for my phototerrain, and it would be really handy if I could use them as backgrounds for my SBX projects as well. However, every time I try to add a map from disk and click the "GeoTiff" button on the cal...

Genius! Thank you, Luis. Adding a trailing slash to the path name fixed the problem.

Hi Luis, Sorry, some other things got in the way of my scenery design, but I'm back now. The problem with the FSX.exe not being found persists in my SBuilder. I've checked my registry for the path to the SetupFile, and it is indeed in the registry, and points to the correct path. However, SBuilder s...

FSX not found by SBuilder 3.10

I've just installed FSX and SBuilder 3.10 on a new system, and I get an error whenever I start SBuilder now. It says: "The Windows resitry indicates that FSX is in the folder: E:\FSX but SBuilder could not find it there! That is indeed where my FSX is installed, and the fsx.exe resides in that folde...

Thank you again, Luis. I tried the zip file you pointed me to, and it installed fine. It looks like I've got a working copy of SBuilder 2.05 now! By the way, it occurs to me that some people on this forum might have misconstrued my earlier remarks on the pricing of SBuilder. I'm not complaining in t...

Thanks for the reply, Luis. Now I feel like a fool for having spent so much money on SBuilder just last week, only to find it's freeware now! However, consider it a thank-you for all the work you've put into it. I'm confused regarding the installation of 2.05, however. I've downloaded what's marked ...

Hi Luis, I'm having a problem running 2.05. I have a registered commercial copy of 2.02, and I've unzipped the 2.05 files you provided into my SBuilder directory. When I start SBuilder now, it gives the following error: Run-Time Error "9" Subscript out of range Dismissing this dialog means the progr...
