You can grab larger areas once SBX has 'seen' and cached the photos. What I've done is move around the area I want at zoom level 15, then zoom out to level 13. Select File/Add Map/From Background and use the 28 x 20 at Zoom = 15 option. If you wanted to use zoom level 16, you'd use the 56 x 40 at Zo...

Photo Rename - Nothing to Compile
I'm doing a large area, with 36 larger tiles at zoom level 15. I've split it up into 9 SBuilderX files because four was the most it would handle at one time. In order to keep the tiles from overwriting each other when compiled, I renamed them from "Photo1" through "Photo4" to "SalemPhoto1-01" throug...

Resolutions
This may be listed somewhere, but what resolution (m/pixel) do the various zoom levels equate to? I'm guessing that zoom level 15 is about 2m/pixel. Is that about right?

The maps are from "Virtual Earth Satellite" of the Wickenburg, AZ area northwest of Phoenix. The airport is E25. I let SBuilder download and add the maps 7 x 5 at Zoom = 15. There are 28 of them. The only editing was to create the night textures from the files in the work directory. CompressionQuali...

A Couple of Odd Things
I've run into a couple of strange things that probably don't have anything to do with SBuilderX, but I thought I'd ask here. I'm almost done with this small scenery, but can't find a way to fix these problems. On the east side of the scenery is a narrow black stripe that stops short of the north and...

You might want to look at AGenT (http://my.chillstation.de/fs/index.php?id=24) for autogen. It has a setting to automatically flip the tiles for you so you don't need to do it manually.

You need to flip the tiles created by Sbuilder, then apply the autogen. Try using AGenT (http://my.chillstation.de/fs/index.php?id=24). It has an option to flip them automatically.

Yahoo Maps
Yahoo is getting in on the map/satellite/hybrid game with something similar to Google. See http:/maps.yahoo.com/beta
In my area (northern Arizona, USA) the coverage is much better than Google with more recent photo images. They also have some an API directory.
