Re: Adding Objects to SBuilderX Library
Hello Pierre and Luis, I'm also experiencing heavy troubles with placing my own objects into the scenery using SBuilderX. I guess I'm still missing the big picture, how a custom scenery is (or has to be) organized in FSX. There are tons of tutorials out here, telling you how to make 3D objects with ...

Re: Polygon hierarchy ?
Hello Luis, tried all your suggestions to no avail and did web investigations on this - it seems that your suspicion is right, you cannot influence the stack order of polygons other than by their texture value. As workaround I'm using 'PolygonHole' classes of polygons, this works well. best greeting...

Polygon hierarchy ?
Dear all, there appears to be a hierarchy when polygons are stacked over another or overlap (?) depending on the used texture. I'm trying to place a City Park polygon over a LandClassPoly_Large_City_Urban_Non_Grid_Wet polygon, however it does not show up in the scenery within FSX. Do I miss somethin...

Re: Tunnel definition
Hello rhumbaflappy, thank you very much for your reply and the useful link. Actually, I would need the default cvx as reference only to find the accurate positions of the stripped parts of the highway. Also it would be useful to figure out, what structures are already there (and possibly are wrong) ...

Re: Tunnel definition
Hello Luis, searched the web for a suitable decompiler, however the bgl2xml tool does not work with cvx files. I also found bglxml, this seems to decompile the cvx, however the result is remarkably smaller than the original bgl file. Also I could not import the xml into SBuilderX, but I guess there ...

Re: Tunnel definition
Hello Luis, thank you very much for your quick reply ! Amazingly, only a few kilometers from the highway are stripped, that could be easily recreated. The bigger problem is the traffic, that still travels over the mountains, making the appearance even stranger *ggg*. The easiest way would be to impo...

Tunnel definition
Dear all, seems this has not been covered before - the default scenery of FSX draws the highways of my home district across the mountains instead of hiding them away, what ends up in a very odd appearance. So I felt to fix this with exclude polygons would be a good idea. However, the result is not w...

Dear Luis, again, thank you very much for your reply. I've changed the name of the map to mapStJohannCen.bmp and introduced it to Xbuilder again. However, still no success. But I tried to resample directly by taking the inf file XBuilder generated and dropping it onto resample.exe - and surprisingly...

Dear Luis, thank you very much for your reply ! Yes, the map is selected, and pressing the Compile button brings up the dialog with 'Photo Scenery' preselected. this is the .inf for the photo map: [Source] Type = BMP Layer = Imagery SourceDir = "." SourceFile = "StJohannCen.bmp" Variation = All Null...

Photo map is not compiled
Dear all, I've generated a photorealistic map from my home town and calibrated it with SBuilderX (around QMID 17). It shows up perfectly in SBuilderX on the right place and right size. I followed the instructions to compile a custom scenery map with SBuilderY, however nothing happens besides a short...
