As an option, could you allow the user to select to always have the name of the landclass/exclude/hydro appear as the name of the polygon. That may be better than "10 point poly" when putting in many polygons.

SBX-New Landclass Not Appearing Over Photo??
The water area of photo scenery of San Francisco's upper bay is of poor quality (color bands). I want to use Tiger polygons to use the original FSX water landclass. No problems using and compiling the shape files from USGS. The problem is that the new water landclass does not appear. So I created a ...

Yes, that would be a better approach since the code construct is already known. The trick would be to include the landclass, transparency, altitude, etc. characteristics in the copy. I would be quite happy with just a plain copy. Adding the other items is relatively easy. Luis - are you waiting for ...

SBuilderX-Suggestion-Function Macros
I have been setting several areas where I live with small city landclass to mark the locations of small towns. This way I can provide the actual outline of the villages which is helpful and realistic for VFR. The task has four steps: 1. Make the polygon around the town using the Google or V. Earth b...

How do you make a water polygon (lake or river) follow the terrain?? I think that it used to be -9999 for FS9.

Thanks, that weaned me away from the myopic view of Airport Flatten. Now able to construct sloping hillsides that mitigate the crazy cliff-like settings of elevated/Plateau" airports. Sloping Polygons: I made a polygon with 4 points. two points were 363 meters and the other two were 351 meters. Set the landclass fill to grass. The compile went ok with a BGL produced. Opening FSX I saw the polygon where it should be, covered with the grass texture. However, It followed the mesh an...

I was really talking about "cutting in" a section of landclass that has the outline of the actual populated area, which is irregular. It really does not match up well and I wondered if alpha blending of the edges might make the inserted landclass look less stark (actually quite bad). The landclass t...

Just draw a polygon over your background. Complete it with a tight click. Then right click on an edge and go to properties at the bottom of the opoup window. There you can select the texture you want in the polygon. See my message above. Those are two polygons with city textures selected from the ri...

Luis, Is it possible to provide an option for a "blending mask (alpha) when the user draws a polygon. Some land class look ok from SBX but others do not. http://www.ptsim.com/forum/uploaded/boleyd/20073562034_Export.jpg Also, could you make the landclass/poly type window larger or expandable. With s...

This process is very unreliable. It is difficult to determine the cause. Right now it is not working but was ok 2 days ago. Google may be trying ways to prevent people from using their images with an API (Application Program Interfaces) since they bypass all of the commercial propaganda. The Manifol...

Luis, Regarding your image BGL question: For me one of the nicest functions of SB is photoscenery. The Google API is limited. However, it should be possible to "stitch together", a large area of high resolution (1 meter/pixel or better) stuff using Manifold's program. As to the legal area - JD Cox t...
