I would also like to know how this is possible. The SDK was not very encouraging.

Background Images for SB-FS9

I wanted to add reasonably accurate landclass to FS9. Since SB-FS9 does not have the nice background feature of SBX I used SBX to create a set of background TIF files with border/extents TXT files. Converted them to BMP files with the Microsoft Picture Viewer (part of XP). In SB-FS9 the MAP function...

SBuilderX for FS9?

Would it be possible to have two compile options that would allow FS9 or FSX files to be created.

The TOOLS/WORK folder should have a BMP and a TXT file for your image. Use a program on AVSIM called FS RESAMPLE by Elrond Elvish to create an INF that can be used with FSX Resample (SDK). Or convert to TIFF and use Millennium SDK INF with Resample.

Possible Featyre-Show Name/Numer Of Current Landcl

There may be a need to alter a landclass texture/tile. However, you need to know which of many it is. Could SBuilderX determine the ID of the landclass tile under the aircraft and display it for the user?

Your GeoTiff should have position information in it. Now you can use a simple script as shown below to "compile" it into a BGL file using FSX Resampler. The script file should have a name that ends in .inf (dot inf). I use Geotiff.inf. My simple process is to put the .inf file in the same folder as ...

ASK.COM maps area seems to offer satellite views up about an equivilent of an SBX zoom=17. However, when used from SBX the zoom is limited to 6.

My ISP (Comcast) reissues the same IP address no matter what I do with the Netgear router or the cable modem. Unfortunately I cannot see the "lease" termination date on the Netgear GUI. So I have tried this tactic to no avail...... I have never paid any attention to the assigned IP address so I do n...

Large Scale Photo Downloads

I have asked for this capability but it will not happen due to the concern about Virtual Earth and Yahoo placing a "google like" restriction on photo acquisition. I believe this to be a false choice since it presupposes that SBX is the only program that may load mass amounts of photo material. There...

Google Earth has a severe restriction on the amount of photos one can download. You can verify that Google is restricting you by going to their Maps area and you will also be restricted there. The restriction is based upon your IP address assigned by your Internet Service Provider. The Google restri...

I also have FSX on D: with no problem. Maybe the FSX address in the registry is not correct. This URL https://www.tweakfs.com/store/ takes you to a site with a free registry setup program just for FSX. Click on the Freeware spot on the left side of the page.

Adding An Island Or Extending A Shore?

After reading the Luis Féliz-Tirado Terain tutorial I do not see any way to easily add an island in the midst of other islands or near mainland shores. The tutorial example did not address the several small islands around St. Barthélemy. They each have to be hand drawn and declared to be a hole to r...

Virtual Earth-added coverage

I have been looking around Virtual Earth with SBX and have found that there are new photo coverage areas in the USA. I do not know which specific areas have been added so you may want to look to see if a favorite location is now in a recent color photo. For my house, which was black & white, it is n...

Just to make sure I am not missing something - SBX does not provide for the exclusion of objects??? I thought that I had an object exclusion at some point so I may have been in FS9 land!

Invisible Water Poly - SBX?

I have a large water poly that I did not create appearing in a SBX compiled BGL. There are many other polygons that are rivers and lakes. The polygon in question is exactly QMID-12 in size. It appears in TMFVIEWER and FSX, It does not appear in SBX. I am confident that it is created by SBX since ope...
