The old SB help says:
<b>Setting the properties of several Lines and Polygons

In Line mode or Polygon mode you can select many elements and change the properties of all the elements simultaneously. To do that you hold down SHIFT key while you press (select) parts. If you release the SHIFT key everything gets unselected on the next mouse click. If you press the right mouse while the SHIFT key is down and if there are many selected items, the changes that you introduce in the property sheet will apply to all selected items.
</b>

This seems to work ok in the new SBX. However, I have a very large amount of lines to add properties to. It would be nice to be able to use the "select box" technique to make mass changes instead of selecting each line segment individually.

Hi,

To make changes "ON MANY" lines or polygons you need to select them
either in Line or Point mode. Take the case o Lines. Goto Line mode (Line tool). Press <CTRL> and you can use a "selection box" with the left mouse just in the same way as you do in Pointer mode!

As soon as you select more than one line (either using the "ctrl selection window" or selecting one at a time by holding the <SHIFT> key) pressing the right mouse over one of the selected lines will bring you a different window with the label "ON MANY" .... hope that helps.
