SBuilder Updates - before 2.05

Post by Luis Sa » Mon Mar 29, 2004 10:06 am

Hello,

I will be removing the links to the first versions of SBuilder. If you want the last one go to the bottom of this topic to get the latest link.

The revision history of Scenery Builder is:

25/03/2004 - Version 1.01

- the first release of SBuilder

29/04/2004 - Version 1.02

- fixed bug in Map Calibration

05/04/2004 - Version 1.03

- added: import and export of lines and polygons in simple ASCII XYZ data format (BLN Surfer file format).
- added: "Coordinate Conversion" tool to convert between Geographical, LWM and VTP coordinates.
- added: "Snap to LWM grid" and "Snap to VTP grid" for selected points in lines and polygons.
- added: the possibility of having 3 different calibrated and interchangeable background maps.
- added: "show altitude" in the status bar when the mouse moves over the mesh map.
- changed: VTP lines coded as VTPChildPoints whenever it is possible.
- changed: the way of coding VTP lines and polygons when they cross Cell boundaries.
- changed: the algoritm for partitioning VTP polygons in convex polygons.

24/04/2004 - Version 1.04

- fixed: error in the representation of Points at locations very far from N0 W0.
- changed: the algorithm for partitioning LWM polygons across different areas.
- changed: the algorithm for partitioning VTP polygons in convex polygons.
- added: VTP replace/coexist switch in the Preferences menu.
- added: Undo/Redo switch in the Preferences menu (deactivating can increase display performance with big files).
- added: Setting the properties of multiple lines or polygons in Line or Poly mode.
- added: BLN input dialogue to set the attributes of imported lines and polygons.
- added: setting type = "Other" will transform a polygon in an exclusion polygon.
- added: DEM tools in the File menu.
- added: Mesh Tool to create mesh scenery with a mouse click

and the last update to SBuilder is available at:

http://www.ptsim.com/downloads/sb104.zip April, 24, 2004

Note that this is a full install. See the other post if you want to bring projects created with version 1.03 to 1.04. I will keep posting updates here whenever I found a BIG bug! :-)

10/05/2004 - Version 1.05

- changed: map calibration.
- changed: You can use in the INI file: BLNSeparator=tab.
- added: Coordinate conversion tool for BLN files.
- added: Check Line tool to verify the points of a Line (use Up, Down, Right and Left arrow keys).

The update file is available at:

http://www.ptsim.com/downloads/sb105.zip

and consists on 2 files: - SBuilder.exe and datum.txt. The last one goes to the Tools folder.

11/05/2004 - Version 1.06

- added: Compatibility with PolyView

To use this facility add a line to SBuilder.ini to specify the folder where PolyView.exe is installed, like this:

[Main]
PolyViewPath=C:\FS\polyb

To have SBuilder 1.06 working you need sb104.zip, sb105.zip (in this zip you only keep datum.txt) and sb106.zip. This one is available at:

http://www.ptsim.com/downloads/sb106.zip

15/05/2004 - Version 1.06a

- changed: the operation of "LandClass" tool

A full package is available at:

http://www.ptsim.com/downloads/sb106a.zip

and a new EXE at:

http://www.ptsim.com/downloads/sb107.zip

10/06/2004 - Version 2.01

- changed: now communication with FS9 is through FSUIPC.DLL thanks to Pete Dawson
- fixed: -9999 altitude in land polygons
- added: CheckLine and CheckPoly with automatic mode
- added: possibility to make closed lines from polys
- added: possibility to make closed lines (coastlines) for each imported BLN poly
- added: support for Library Objects
- added: support for Taxiways Signs
- added: support for Effects
- added: support for WindSocks
- added: support for Exclusion Rectangles

A full package is available at:

http://www.ptsim.com/downloads/sb201.zip

Note that SCASM 2.95 is needed for SB201!

30/09/2004 - Version 2.02

SBUILDER 2.02 IS NOW SHAREWARE

http://www.ptsim.com/downloads/sb202.zip

I will lock this topic in order to reserve its use to the updates. Please start a different topic if you have any question about SBuilder.

06/01/2005

http://www.ptsim.com/downloads/sbxxx.zip

Updated on January, 6, 2005 - if you download sbxxx.zip now you get version 2.04. You need to replace the old objects.txt with the one included (or edit the older one). Many undocumented bugs have been corrected. A new feature is the added support for objects. If you have Rwy12 (a popular object placement program) installed you can add the following line to your [Main] section of SBUILDER.INI file:

Rwy12Path=C:\FS\RWY12

(point to your Rwy12 folder. In my case it is installed in the C:\FS\RWY12 folder)

Doing this will allow to place these objects from the SBuilder map.

20/04/2005 - Version 2.05 (pre-release)

SBUILDER 2.05 IS ALMOST READY

http://www.ptsim.com/downloads/sbzzz.zip

You need to install 2.02 and then add the 3 files found in this ZIP.
More information on other topics!

<b> May 9, 2005 - today the more recent SBuilder was made available in </b>:

http://www.ptsim.com/downloads/sb205.zip

This is a complete version and replaces all the previous ones. Backup your files before using this version (specially files LINES.TXT POLYS.TXT OBJECTS.TXT which you may have customized).
