Problem creating Peninsula

Post by jetblue53 » Sat Jan 10, 2009 10:10 pm

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to make custom photo scenery for MKJP, but I run into a problem. I have removed the default ground, and the shorelines, etc., but I still get a funny result:

Any ideas? I also used Airport Design Editor to change the height of the airport to 3.05m (the height in the real world, just to see if anything changes. WHen I do this, I do not get the result seen in the pictures above.

It looks like the ground is at 3.05 meters, but then it drops off sharply to 0 meters

Update...

I was able to get the airport (runway, taxiways etc) to display at the same height as the terrain. That solves that issue. However, I still have a problem where the land around the runway falls off sharply towards the sea. I have been able to change the displayed texture to water, but up close you can still see that it falls off sharply.

I wonder if it has to do with the way my alpha channel is set up?
