Help for Sbuilder FS2004
Hi all
I have try to create a photo scenery by Sbuilder for FS2004...but I have this problem:
I do this:
- I use http://www.ptsim.com/sbuilder/gmaps.htm to go on area of my interest;
- I take a picture by FastStone Capture Utility and I save it on disk...(for ex: LIRF.BMP)
- then I copy a geographic coordinates and copy them into a text file...save it with a same name of bmp file (LIRF.txt) into the same directory of BMP file;
- I run SBuilder;
- New project;
- click MAP Button;
- click on center of screen and Load the LIRF.BMP;
- click calibrate...and I see the correct Photo image on screen with the correct proportions;
BUT When I select the image, and clic on compiler bgl function, the screen appear but all voices are disabled If I click on compile Bgl button there is only a grey bgl-compilation menu, I can't select anything only compile bgl button..
PS. Before compile, I go in main SBuilder screen, and I first click on the Point icon and then I select All ...BUT nothing...
can you hel me?
thanks

Hello,
Are you clicking on the edge of the map (photo) so that it becomes selected? Only selected items are recognized for compilation.
Regards,
Luis

Re: Help for Sbuilder FS2004
Hello,
I assume that the export (SBX) file is quite small. If yes, could you post it here? Normally, we can say all about a project by reading its SBX. Do not bother with the bitmaps that it refers to. If I want to try your SBX project, I can just make dummy bitmaps with the dimensions that are referred to in the SBX.

Luis

Re: Help for Sbuilder FS2004
Hi Lucio,
if I get you right you want to have the bitmap displayed in your scenery, don't you? But this is not possible by using the MAP function - you will just have a scaled template of the area available in SBuilder to make object positioning easier! The map will never be compiled into a photo tile!
For simple applications (flat area, no seasonal changes) you can use FSSC instead of SBuilder to place your high-resoultion bitmap into your scenery easily.
It is also unclear for me, what SBuilder function you should try instead - I never tried to create a photo scenery by my own.
Regards
Kurt

Re: Help for Sbuilder FS2004
Lucio,
Please send the SBX file! Not the SBP file. Export the project as SBX!

Re: Help for Sbuilder FS2004
Hi Lucio,
1st: Is your scenery in Portugal? Opening your SBX (and please open it as well) I see the borders of your map as being:
NLat0=41.5918079
SLat0=41.5821783
ELon0=-8.4364271
WLon0=-8.4535933
Please check your calibration. What were the boundaries generated by the web application?
2nd: you should create a folder for photo scenery. Please read the Help file.
3rd: you need to press Photo and then you need to click the tiles on the top of the map. Then you select the tiles, not the map to generate the scenery.
Regards,
Luis

..hi luis
I follow your istrucions,,,
I create a Photo map by your Exploring Google Maps link... I write down the geaographic coordinates on the text file and save it into the same directory of BMP file that I save it before...
I open Sbuilder, "New"...click on the Map Icon on the menu bar and then I click on the centre of screen, load a bmp file and calibrate it...and the map correctly appear...
Then I clik on Photo icon on the menu bar... engaged items of seasons, but when I click on the Map image the program tell me that there is not Map on the screem!!?? Why??
...excuse me... but I think that at this point will be better for me that you send me a little your example ...where I can understand the correct sequence of operations.. ..
or I must give up building photo scenery for FS2004... I don't want do it!!
thanks in advance
Lucio
