Change layer for multiple VTP polys?

Post by Gridley » Tue Feb 22, 2005 12:36 am

I am having trouble changing the layer assigned to VTP polys. I can do them individually, I can select multiple polygons, but no matter what I've tried (holding down ctrl while right-clicking, holding down the other ctrl, holding shift, holding both), I can only change properties for a single VTP poly at a time...

Is this possible, and I'm just missing something in the docs, or do I need to do them individually.

Thanks!

Thanks Horst! So the key is holding down control while selecting via a box...I'll get that a go.

I'm sure I'm just being dense, but I can't figure it out.

1.) Switch to polygon mode.
2.) Hold CTRL, drag a bog around a bunch of polys.

Now in polygon mode, I can't right click anything or I start drawing polygons.

3.) Switch back to point mode (without letting go of ctrl)
4.) Right-click the line of a polygon, set new value.
5.) Check properties - only that single polygon has the new value, all the others are the same old value...

Any tips a plus!

Thanks,

In Poly mode, right click on one of the selected polygons (on the polygon line) (use zoom), all the polys will switch to General/None. Give them a new definition.

Thanks for your patience, Horst. I think that's got it! I think I was just holding down control too much!

sb 2.04, scasm 2.96 - unless something happened over the weekend, that's them!

Thank you again for your assistance.
