Copy objects?

I am placing a large number of similar objects in an area. Is there a way to copy an object I have already placed and put another one somewhere else?

Hi,

Yes. Go to "Object Mode" and "Select" an object. Go the "Edit" menu and press "Copy". Then press "Paste". As soon you do this, your cursor changes to "paste". Whenever you click on the map, a copy of the object is placed. To exit this mode and to return to the normal operation, press the Escape key or click with the right mouse.
