selecting all lines on specific VTP layer

Post by zevnik » Mon May 15, 2006 10:55 pm

Hello all,

first of all I would like to congratulate luis for this magnificent straight forward scenery design software.

And my problem goes like this:
-I have one bgl vtp file with rivers and roads data in them
-since roads data is not accurate enough I created my own roads
-I would like to remove layers 31-33 (where roads are) from this file and use only river data

Is there a fast way to achieve this? or I have to click each separate line and delete it?

Hello

Thanks for the compliment! You can use the Find function! You cna find by name or by type. Export you yor file and open it with a text editor. Look to the type of the roads! I am almost sure that you can compose a text string that will pick up your roads in one or a a couple of go's!

Regards, Luis

Thank you Luis,

I exported the file as SBuilder SBX file and then with text editor checked the type of each line, and then used the search by type function, and the string was VTP//<layer#>

Best regards,
Rok
