Hello,
José Lobo kindly made available an application to flip the textures produced by SBuilder. This is a problem if you need to generate custom autogen as José explains:
SBuilder 2.05 generates VTP custom textures upside down (mirrored North-South) because they need to be vertically flipped to show correctly in the FS9. You can place VTP and autogen on top, but the annotation created is reversed and doesn't match the texture. So, you need to reverse the textures, if you want them as a template to create AGNs.
If you have few textures, you can make this manually, one by one. Otherwise, if your project has many textures, to flipper manually could be tedious.
I wrote Flipper.exe, a simple application to make this job for you.
After creating the textures, follow these steps to correctly create AGNs:
Create a folder with any name (suppose: AGN);
Copy Flipper.exe and Imagetool.exe to that folder;
Also, copy all the textures you want to reverse to use as templates;
Execute Flipper.exe
The Flipper.exe will create a new folder named “Flipper”, inside the folder you created, and put all the flipped textures within.
The original textures, with the same names, remain in the folder where you put. If you have a backup, you can delete them, now.
Using SBuilder 2.05 VTP custom textures in FSX
Copy the file *.bgl to the folder:
\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery\scenery
Copy all the FLIPPED textures to:
\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\World\Texture
