Poly crossing Question with Sbuilder

Hi All
Can the lines of 2 polygons cross over each other.
In G2K if I cross 2 poly lines I get a error.
I noticed in Sbuilder I dont get that but I would like to know if this will cause another issue down the road . One that will cause me headaches.
