When I starting programming we were using Valves.
However!
Can anybody help me with Background images.
1. I bring in a background image
Save it to Tif file. Recover Geo details with "GeoTiffTools"
Adjust color and contrast using Photoshop. Save as TIF file
Restore GEO details.
Put it back into SbuilderX using Add Map from disk and selecting TIF files
not BMP as it defaults to
Now how do I get this to compile as a background image.
Thank you for a fine program.
T.C.

Thanks for fast reply but still got problems.
I have already done all that you suggest but I seem to have a much deeper
problem. Can not get the PhotoMap from disk to the state of being able to compile
no boxes checked even though all maps selected etc.
However on pressing the GEOTIF button in the properties window
I get an "Exception Caught Globally " error
"A generic error occured in GDI+
and then a whole list of other stuff mostly I assume to do with VBasic. On answering the Yes or NO buttons the program clases down.
Now this is on the the original Backgrouns TIF file made from the start.
I have updated NET and VB runtime files Checked for virus and have also pulled my hair out. Have you seen this before. Regards

Hello,
I think that you need to save your image as a BMP. When you finish your editing in the image programme save it as bitmap image. If the TXT sister file created by SBuilderX is still there, the edited BMP will be placed correctly (no need for calibration or georeferncing) when you add it back again to SBuilderX.
Please tell if that solves the problem,
Regards, Luis
