Hi - another query from teh uneducated here, but I'm still working on my little island with some success now - I'm using SBX for the photoscenery, Whisplacer for the buildings etc and another program for the terrrain mesh. Is it possible to 'select' the area around the island and sort of somehow compile all the crap I've put into that area into a single standalone BGL file??

G-RJWA,

The answer is no. However elements of the same class can be compiled into a single .BGL, such as all scenery objects. There are some constraints and performance considerations to be aware of.

The best way to start is with education.

Great tutorial by Luis FĂ©liz-Tirado on SBuilder over at Avsim:
http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?Ca ... LID=100997

And Microsoft for your next level of involvement starts here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa155304.aspx

That's how I started.

Hello Arthur,

Much of the Avsim library content was lost during the recent problem. I am in the process of replacing those files and they should be available in the library within the next few days.

Best regards.
