generated FSX roads and autogen

generated FSX roads and autogen

Hi,

I generated a network of roads using SbuilderX and Shape file from OpenStreetmap.

Now the roads are excluding allot of my city autogen :roll:

Is there a way to make them live together? I mean anything I can do to keep the autogen buildings + roads ?

Hello Michel,

If you check the terrain.cfg file, you will find this entry in all the roads:

ExcludeAutogen=Yes

You can change that to No, if you wish, but be aware that then your roads will be covered by trees and houses and large parts of the roads will no longer be visible.

Perhaps a better solution is to be more selective in the use of road vectors and only compile major roads or highways for use in FS.

Thanks for the info Luis, I will take a look at all this. Yes I think the roads network I converted from OpenstreetMap need to be reduced in terms of complexity
