Blending the Image with my FSX scenery

Post by artalvar55 » Tue Dec 21, 2010 10:24 pm

Hi all:

I have an issue: the image does not blend well with my FSX scenery.

I am a newbie on this but I've found SBX to be very user-friendly but also simple enough to use it considering the subject matter its a complex one.

I am just trying to create some VFR reference points. In this case a little town within a specific Terminal Area boundries.

Here it is the shoots I took

Thanks in advance for your help and assistance.

Happy Holidays and best regards from Mexico,

Art

Hi Art.

Here's a similar thread from FSDeveloper.com:

That thread relates more to changing the color of a photoreal to match the default landclass tile colors. Another trick is to make a blendmask ( or alpha channel ) that "trims" the image along roads or field edges, which helps with the illusion that is is part of the default tiles.

Hola Art,

You might also try the following tutorial:

:D

Hi all:

Thank you Dick and Luis.

As you mentioned Luis on your tutorial, "nothing" in Life is free or without any pitfalls, but I just do not have the "patience" to site down and use those touch imaging software things. It makes perfect sense the need of it though. I have used Photoshop CS4 for a while, but extremelly simple things.

In any event, I would like to congratulate you and all your team for this application. It is quite intuitve and very simple to use even almost to fully "understand" such a difficult subject matter, all its implications and how FSX works on this area.

Thank you again and Happy Holidays

Best regards,

Art
