Hi

I have a large coastline Poly #1 and Poly #2
Then I have som polygons, which I want to become island. I select one polygon #197, and select "set as hole", but no matter how many times I try to select #1 or #2 - it won't select the "parent polygon".

Anyone can tell me, what I need to do ?

Wouldn't a coastline be a line and not a poly? Unless the coastline (poly) is the outline of an island?

Poly #197 can only be a hole (child poly) if it is contained in either poly #1 or poly #2 (parent poly). Is this the case?

Maybe you can get a screen grab of what your work looks like and post it?

You must be in Polygon mode in order for the process to work. Please select the Polygon tool in the tool bar first and then try again.
