Hi guys
I am making photoscenery for the Greek islands.
I am using exclusion polygons to exclude the default land and shorelines
that were showing beyond the photoscenery.
It works fine and looks good with one problem.
I don't see the shape of the islands on World/Map. Only the navaids.
Any ideas on how to fix the problem.
Angelo
No land on map after exclusions
Re: No land on map after exclusions
You need to remember that photo scenery to FSX is just a set of textures, not specified land mass. When you remove (exclude) the default land there is nothing there to replace it, unless you make it.
Photo scenery will almost always be more precise than default, so you can end up with default showing in areas outside the photo work. The solution IMO is to exclude water around the area and redraw water polygons that match the photo scenery. It can be tedious work, but if your goal is to show something in the GPS it's the only method I am aware of. I recently looked at a product for someone and saw what you're describing, which is nothing in the GPS. Scary, with all that water and hoping to find some land!
