Merging multiple backgrounds and compiling

Post by maasi81 » Thu Mar 15, 2012 2:42 pm

Hello,

I have been trying to merge multiple backgrounds, but I cant figure it out.
The thing is, that I am working on to add new buildings in Nuuk, Greenland, and want to use 1 .bgl file and cover the whole town with orthophoto (background) and place the new buildings properly.

Is there any process to make 1 .bgl file after merging multiple backgrounds?? I am sure it has a process, but how I have to do is my problem.

That was 1 problem I have, the next one is to know how to remove the exceeding background that exceeds shoreline and becoming hard surface on the water.

I have been reading about the blending etc. but I have to visualize it before I understand what to do.

Hope to get some replies, please with photos etc.
Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Mads, Nuuk - Greenland

Hello Mads,

Perhaps the following tutorial would give you some indications:
