Image out of position in FSX

Post by bar_rodoy » Sat Mar 31, 2012 3:10 pm

Hey. I have add an image from disk to Sbuilder and calibrated it. In SBX the position of the image is 100 % accurate but in FSX its misplaced. Any ideas?

This is a common problem and since you use FSX heights why not slide you background image just a little? In your sim, slew your aircraft to a few landmarks and in the matching location in SBX, place objects such as cones. Slide your image to best fit and be careful not to bump it when you open properties. reset the data button and the text file will reset the coordinates. Don't forget to remove the objects.
Also you might find the roads or rivers need a bit of tweaking. Exclude the default ones and build your own.
