Freeway Traffic

Post by geobas » Wed May 14, 2014 3:39 pm

Hi ,
I have added some freeway traffic with SBX to a project of mine , and although I have over 30 FPS
in my FSX , the cars are moving in a jerky manner and not as smooth as they should .
This is an unexpected issue , which l did not have before .
Could someone help please ...

Thanks
George

Help, how? There's nothing to go by, other than the traffic is "jerky" and what does that mean?

Traffic moves from one node to the next. When it reaches the next node it rotates into the direction of the next node, and so on... Traffic has no notion of moving in a smooth arc between two nodes, just that the next node is at a radial of "x" degrees from the present node, so rotate and head in that direction.

Is that what you're seeing?

Well , I forgot to mention that the "jerky" movement , is between two distant nodes when the cars
are moving in a straight line . It's like when fps are really low , when l have 32 on the indicator .

There's nothing SBuilderX can do to solve a problem that is either caused by your computer system, or by the native behavior of FSX.
