sbx: BMP vs JPG

Post by i-ikko » Wed Apr 01, 2015 7:07 am

Hello everyone, I'm federico.
someone can tell me why Sbuilder x does not accept photos .jpg?
I'm doing a scenery with images 12000 x12000, but Sbx only accepts Bmp! which are very heavy and bulky.
someone can help me so that sbx also read .jpg images?
safe response greeting and thank you all.
federico

Hola Federico,

SBuilderX does not compile or create bgl files. The application requires the use of the tools included in the FS X S.D.K. such as Resample. This Microsoft tool only accepts BMP (bitmaps) and TIFF (or GeoTIFF) files as data sources.

Please use any image editor to load your JPG files and save them as either BMP or TIFF. Then you will be able to use them to create scenery..

Best regards.
Luis
