Install problem

Post by willy647 » Sun Mar 06, 2016 9:29 am

Hi all,

I have used sbuilderx before.
I now need to install it on a new pc running windows 10, 64bit
When running the msi file, I get this message:
----
"There is a problem with this windows installer. A DLL required for this install to
complete could not be run"
----
If I run the installer on the same computer emulating windows 7 (VMware player) , it runs ok
Is this a (known) windows 10 problem ?

Thanks

Willy

Unfortunately, you may have to resort to using the 32-bit version of SBuilderX.

Please try it and see if you continue to have problems.

Best regards.

Thanks Luis,

I did try to install the 3.13 version.
Is there another 32bit version ?

Dick Ludowise put up this link a while ago to his OneDrive repository, but I don't know if it is still valid. Just give it a try, please.

Just to let you know, after installing the x86 version, I 'upgraded' tot 3.14 and that also now seems to work ok.
