FSX Standard vs FSX Deluxe?

Post by macklinbob » Mon Feb 27, 2012 11:12 pm

When I started wit FSX several years ago i installed the STANDARD version. I have been running it for over 5 years.

Over the weekend FSX started crashing on me when I closed it and it would restart every time.

A few years ago I gave my STANDARD version to a friend of mine. I bought a DELUXE version to get the SDK.

Last night I removed the old version and installed the DELUXE version.

I have been trying to get my add-on scenery library to work but the DELUXE version won't load the bgl files.

There are other problems but I want to solve one problem at a time.

Does anyone know the differences between the STANDARD and DELUXE versions of FSX?

Hello Bob, here is a link to Wikipedia that outlines some of the differences;

And for the scenery makers, the biggest difference is one has the SDKs and the other doesn't!
