Water class ident

Post by Yardreamer » Tue Jul 15, 2014 6:33 pm

I am having a real issue trying to remove this section of shore line as per this thread http://www.ptsim.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2318
do I need to remove the water first then the shoreline?
if so I have no idea what water and shoreline type they are I have tried several type exclusions but nothing disappears until I place exclude all shoreline ...

If you can zip the offending scenery and attach it, I would have a better idea of what you are doing.

If it is a vector scenery, it can be excluded. If it is photoreal, then it cannot.

The tag Exclude_All_Terrain_Items should get rid of all terrain items touched by the triangle. You could try Exclude_All_Shorelines... to limit the exclude to just the shore. Right-click on the triangle edge, and select properties to select the exclude type.

Again, if this is a photoreal, there is no exclusion that can be used.

Many thanks Dick
I was just hoping to exclude that small area but it looks like that is not going to happen. Apparently after researching the entire QMID shoreline has to be removed and I am looking at a huge amount of shoreline to rebuild. Since this project is basically to practice new techniques I am just going work around it. I probably will one day as there is quite a variance of shoreline type not to mention I am only 1/2 k from the next QMID so I will be doubling the shoreline ...

with appreciation
Murray
