SBuilder and Google Images

Post by kmanning » Sat Apr 18, 2015 9:42 pm

Hi,
I was wondering, can I get Google satellite images in SBuilder for FS2004 as in SBuilderX.

No, but you can use SBuilderX to download the required tiles, and then create a Map.

This Map with its associated georeference file can then be loaded in SBuilder for FS 9.

Best regards.

How do I create the map and then load into SBuilder for FS9?

1. Launch SBuilderX;
2. Go to area desired;
3. Show Background in order to download tiles at correct zoom level;
4. When tiles covering area have finished downloading, Add Map from Background;
5. Map is displayed and saved in Work directory along with text file containing georeferencing;

6. Launch SBuilder for FS 9;
7. Add Map and use Map created above;
8. Coordinates in text file serve for Map Calibration.

Please consult Help file for more information and don't hesitate to ask here if something is not clear.

Best regards.

Hi Luis,
I've launched SBuilder for FS9 but most of the buttons are greyed out. The only buttons I can use are New and Open, so what do I do from here? Do I click New or Open? Number 7 says Add map. Give me details after I have launched SBuilder. By the way, is there anyway I can change the unit of measure from kilometers to feet?
